Living and working in Paris, France as an executive coach and leadership development consultant for more than 20 years has enabled Hedy Caplan to develop the skills and sensitivity that lead to effectiveness in working with diverse populations, ages, national and corporate cultures. The key to performance resides in our ability to focus attention, appeal to intrinsic motivations and develop the confidence to make decisions and follow through. To this, Hedy brings years of Mindfulness practice, and she assists her clients in developing greater awareness, confidence, emotional stability, and clarity that facilitate commitment to objectives and outcomes aligned with what brings meaning, joy and the sense of good work done well. In addition to individual and team coaching, Hedy has developed a process for transferring her skills to co-development peer groups, bringing emotional intelligence, self-mastery and openness to differences into the space where collaborative dialogues and peer-development dynamics can be developed. Hedy's approach is informed by her training in psychosynthesis, which promotes the integration of body, mind and emotions. She became a coach under the guidance of Sir John Whitmore and his team of Olympic coaches.
Beth Crittenden enjoys working within the broad spectrum of financial wellness. The range covers practical and tangible to emotional and energetic; between spreadsheets and empathic listening, P & L reports and identifying/practicing healthy boundaries, data analysis to deep, clarifying conversations and improved relationships. She brings training and experience in Somatic Psychology, bookkeeping, small business consulting, coaching and communication support for individuals and partners, group facilitation, workshop and keynote delivery, and integrated mindfulness practice. “Magic unfolds when rational thinking and gut intuition can exist in unison”, and Varun Venugopal Gupta is a man on the journey to harness both. Based in Goa, India, he helps businesses worldwide achieve stellar results by simply tuning in - businesses grow when entrepreneurs grow from the inside. Varun's work draws upon his experience as an improv-theatre actor and his understanding of human dynamics and complex business processes. An engineer by education, he believes that most complex problems come down to just 1-2 key variables. In addition to his work with leaders, Varun is curator of the Global Shapers Community in Goa, a World Economic Forum initiative; a Starting-bloc fellow; and until recently, was a partner at MaynardLeigh Associates, a UK based behavioural consulting firm pioneering the use of theatre, psychological insight, and frameworks for organisational change. Varun's clients have included HSBC, Coca-Cola India, EY, and Genpact.
Varun lives an off-the-grid life in Goa, practicing Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art form, growing (some) and cooking (most) of his own food. He loves spending time outdoors (sailing, swimming, trekking, cycling) and spiritually engages via movement, minimalism and meditation. Lindsey Hunt is Boston’s most playful mindfulness teacher, workshop facilitator, and motivational speaker. She is an expert in the fields of communication, emotional intelligence, present-moment awareness and thinking outside the box. Hailing from a background in adventure travel as a cycling trip leader, Lindsey brings an infectious zest for life to the workshops she leads. She has been featured as a guest speaker and teacher at Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute of Technology, and leads mindfulness-informed trainings for corporate groups in the Boston area. Lindsey recently published a witty, provocative book on money and spirituality entitled “My Brilliant Money Book: for Joyful + Creative Living."
Marjatta Moimas' passion is to contribute to the well-being of professionals who work in high-demand environments, such as first responders, social workers, medical professionals and case managers. She also works with direct care clients and open community groups in the Greater Boston area. Her Gentle Mindfulness approach contains three essential elements: 1.Rest - 2.Resource - 3.Regulate. These categories include specific techniques and resources for nervous system regulation and stress management. Each individual responds differently to mindfulness practices and her guidance will allow you to have the agency on what works for you. Marjatta is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, has a BSW in her home country of Finland, and an MA in Mindfulness Studies from Lesley University. Marjatta is specialized and trained in making mindfulness safe and inclusive for all.
Stephen Morse, Director of SIY Programs at MLMW, integrates neuroscience, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence practices into his coaching and education of technology leaders, unlocking more well being, better team collaboration, and higher performance. A 25 year veteran of the software technology industry, and a Search Inside Yourself Teacher (SIYLI.org), Stephen currently delivers technical workshops on SaaS best practices and mindfulness, and seeks to help lead the change in the way technology is built and delivered, increasing technology's overall value to society and to the well-being of its workers and consumers.
Casey Onder, PhD is a workplace psychologist and success coach for professionals and entrepreneurs. As a coach she empowers clients to pursue success authentically and in harmony with themselves rather than through guilt and grinding. Prior to launching her coaching practice, Clairvoyage, Casey worked in Fortune 500 talent management and external leadership consulting, with a focus on executive leadership assessment and employee surveys. She is an affiliate of Accomplishment Coaching with a M.S. in Counseling and a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Colorado State University. Her background in mindfulness practice and yoga has a strong influence on her approach with clients.
Madeleine Pizey is a mindfulness consultant, and yoga and meditation facilitator based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her ultimate goal is to help people have more clarity in their life. Her deepest desire is to truly help others find methods and tools to make a significant impact on their self-acceptance, and find freedom within the busy world in which we live.
Madeleine’s passion for mindfulness, yoga, and meditation has led her to complete over 900 hours of teacher trainings, from 200 hours of training with Vijay Amor, to completing 500 hours of training through The Teacher Study Project with Coeli Marsh. Madeleine has studied mindfulness with her mentors Coeli Marsh and Masaaki Okamura, and is deeply grateful to have the opportunity to study and learn from all of her teachers. Alongside her trainings, Madeleine completed a master’s degree in Mindfulness at Lesley University, where she embarked on silent retreats and has significantly deepened her meditation and mindfulness practice. Madeleine is currently embarking on the InnerMBA and Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s Mindfulness Teacher Training with SoundsTrue.
Jonathan Reynolds is founder and CEO of Mindful Life, Mindful Work, Inc. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jonathan’s business and leadership coaching clarifies and leverages the value propositions and key relationships of his clients. Since 1997, Jonathan has trained extensively in the discipline of mindfulness, and his work with leaders emphasizes simple and practical ways to improve performance, efficiency, and workplace cultures by integrating mindfulness sensibilities.
Ritu Riyat integrates her experience as an epidemiologist, yoga and meditation teacher, health coach, and behavior change expert in designing effective and engaging wellbeing programs for individuals and organizations. Believing that true change comes from the inside out she has worked with executives, athletes, law enforcement, and fortune 500 companies to go beyond traditional wellness programs and create a culture of wellbeing in the workplace.
As a speaker and educator she delivers seminars on stress, teaches pop up meditation labs, and coaches clients to create simple habits for sustainable health. Ritu earned her BS in Genetics from the University of California, Davis, a Master's of Public Health in Epidemiology from USC and is 500-hr certified yoga teacher. In her spare time she can be found striking a yoga pose, sitting in silence, or writing about all things wellness on her blog: eat.move.meditate.
Jim Schaffer is a mindfulness trainer and consultant who has had a decades-long career in the corporate world, primarily in advertising and market research. He has been conducting workshops and speaking on mindfulness in business since 1990. Jim helps organizations and leaders develop the ability to see things clearly, focus on getting results, and maintain high morale & deep resilience, regardless of what is going on around them. He has been a featured speaker at the Boston Whole Health Expo and the Babson College International Symposium on Business and Spirituality. Jim lives with his wife in the Boston area.
Shenandoah Weiss is a coach, mindfulness teacher, and corporate learning specialist who’s passionate about each human’s potential to grow and transform. In her coaching practice she partners with clients to help them deepen into their aliveness in order to navigate the transition between who they presently are and what they are longing to do or become. Her “embodied leadership” coaching is based in mindfulness, neuroscience, action-oriented communication, and body-based practices and research. Shenandoah has worked with a myriad of organization types from hypergrowth technology companies to universities and nonprofits to design and facilitate learning and development programs and workshops. With an unquenchable desire to explore and honor the complexity of the human experience, Shenandoah earned her MA in social science from the University of Chicago, her professional coaching certificate from the Strozzi Institute, and her BA in communication studies and anthropology from UCLA.
